On
the occasion of World Yoga Day, Carmel Convent Senior Secondary School, Ujjain
celebrated a Special Assembly on 21st June 2025, organized by the talented
students of Class V – A under the guidance of their class teacher Mrs. Ritu
Sharma. The theme of International Yoga day 2025 is “Yoga for one Earth , one
health.”
The
program began with a soulful prayer song, followed by a vibrant dance
performance celebrating peace and positivity. A thought-provoking skit was also
presented, highlighting the relevance of yoga in today's fast-paced life and
how it helps to balance the body and mind.
The
cultural performances were followed by a live demonstration of yoga asanas,
including Vajrasana, Ustrasana, and Gomukhasana. The students performed these
asanas with enthusiasm and discipline, promoting the message of fitness and
inner strength.
After
the assembly, a Yoga Competition was conducted for students of Classes I to
XII, where students enthusiastically participated and demonstrated various
asanas. The competition was successfully coordinated by Mrs. Jyoti Chouhan, Mr.
Dipesh, and Ms. Anjali Yadav.
The
day’s celebration left a lasting impact on everyone, encouraging the school
community to embrace yoga as a part of daily life. The Principal appreciated
the efforts of the students and staff and encouraged all to continue practicing
yoga for a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
