National Space Day celebrated in Carmel Convent Senior Secondary School, Ujjain

A special assembly was conducted by Class IV B  on 23rd August to mark National Space Day. The assembly celebrated India’s remarkable achievements in space research and highlighted the importance of curiosity, innovation, and scientific spirit.

The programme began with a melodious group song “Aao Tumhe Chand Pe Le Jayein” followed by “Kyuki Dil Mein Mars Hai”, which filled the atmosphere with energy and pride. Students also presented a vibrant dance performance “Hai Salaam Tujhko ISRO” and an engaging role play, showcasing astronauts, scientists, and celestial bodies, reflecting India’s growing presence in space exploration.

On this occasion, a prize distribution ceremony was also held. Students of KG II secured the 1st rank in the Navkiran Folk Dance Competition (2024–25), while Carmelites also made the school proud by winning the 2nd rank in the Navkiran Mime Competition (2024–25).

The assembly concluded with the message that space is not just about stars and planets, but about limitless imagination, perseverance, and the courage to explore the unknown.

Also A seminar on the fascinating topic of Space was organized for the students of Class X on 23rd August 2025 to commemorate the National Space Day. The session was graced by the esteemed resource person, Dr. Swati Dubey, Professor and Head of Space Research at Vikram University, Ujjain. The welcome speech Was given by Ms. Amoli Jain.

Dr. Dubey began the seminar by highlighting the vastness and mysteries of the universe, capturing the curiosity of the students. She explained the latest developments in space research, including satellite technology, planetary exploration, and India’s remarkable achievements in space science. Her interactive style encouraged students to ask questions, and she patiently addressed their queries related to black holes, galaxies, life on other planets, and future space missions.

The seminar not only enhanced scientific knowledge but also inspired students to think beyond boundaries and pursue careers in space research. It was an enriching experience that left everyone with a sense of wonder about the universe and deep respect for the advancements made in space science.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks, given by Ms. Shivika Jain, expressing gratitude to Dr. Swati Dubey for sharing her expertise and motivating the young minds
