On 4th September 2025, the students of Class 10th A, B, and C of Carmel Convent Senior Secondary School, Ujjain visited the Dongla Observatory as part of their educational excursion. A total of 106 students took part in this informative and engaging trip. During the visit, the students explored the planetarium, where they learned about various celestial bodies, the solar system, and the Sun. The session helped students understand several astronomical concepts practically. In addition to the educational experience, the students also participated in a plantation drive within the observatory premises, contributing to environmental conservation. They further conducted a cleanliness drive under the SEWA (Social Empowerment through Work and Action) programme initiated by the CBSE. Overall, the visit proved to be an enriching experience that combined learning with social responsibility, fostering scientific curiosity and environmental awareness among students.
