The
students of Class 9 visited Jyoti Sadan, an institute for mentally unstable
women, on 16th Oct 2025 as part of SEWA (Social empowerment through
work education and action). The visit began with a prayer song, setting a
serene and positive tone for the event. This was followed by a dance
performance and a melodious group song presented by the students.
The
atmosphere soon became lively as the inmates joyfully joined the students in
the dance, creating a beautiful moment of togetherness and compassion. During
the programme, samosas were distributed among the inmates, spreading smiles and
warmth.
Under
the guidance of the class teachers Mrs. Indu Shrivastava, Mrs. Saritha Menon
and Mrs Paridhi Gupta the students also donated wheat flour and soap to the
institute as a small contribution towards their daily needs. The visit was a
meaningful experience for the students, helping them understand the importance
of empathy, service, and human connection. It was indeed a day filled with
learning, love, and shared happiness.
