Convent Sr. Sec. School Kamed, Ujjain On Saturday, January 10th, 2026, came
alive with the vibrant energy of its Annual Sports Day. The event was graced by
the presence of esteemed special guests, including Rev. Fr. Prince Joseph, School Principal Rev. Dr. Sr. Kripa Maria,Rev.
Sr. Regis, and Rev. Sr. Licy Mathews. The proceedings commenced on a spiritual
note with a soulful prayer song, followed by the formal flag hoisting ceremony
accompanied by the stirring notes of the Carmel Anthem. The atmosphere was
further energized by a synchronized PT display by the students of Class 4th and
the symbolic kindling of the sports flame, which officially marked the start of
the day's competitions.
The day saw
an intense yet healthy rivalry between the four school houses: Candor House,
Lumen House, Shalom House, and Esher House. Each house displayed remarkable
teamwork and determination across various track and field events. After a
series of thrilling competitions, Lumen House emerged as the dominant force of
the day, clinching both the Overall Games Trophy and the Athletics Overall House
Championship. Shalom House put up a commendable performance to secure the
position of overall Runner-up. The individual achievements were equally
impressive, with Nandini Meena being crowned the Champion Sportsperson of the
Year, while Devendra Pawar earned the well-deserved title of Runner-up
Sportsperson.
The event
concluded with an inspiring address from the Principal, Dr. Sister Kripa Maria.
She took the opportunity to express her heartfelt pride in the students'
achievements, warmly appreciating the immense effort, discipline, and
sportsmanship displayed by all participants. Her words of encouragement
highlighted the school's commitment to holistic development, leaving the
students and staff with a profound sense of accomplishment as the Annual Sports
Day 2026 came to a successful close.
