A two
day workshop was organised for the staff
on the 10th and 11th of feb'24
With the aim of introducing / recapitulating the concept of experiential learning to staff members, highlighting its significance in professional development and organizational growth.
The
resource persons were Dr. Rajesh Sharma, a teacher, counsellor, ex principal
and a CBSE master trainer in life skills, gender sensitization and classroom
managemen. And Ms. Sampa, a journalist, a passionate educator and trainer.
On day
1, The workshop began with an overview of experiential learning, emphasizing
its hands-on approach and its effectiveness in promoting skill development and
knowledge retention.
Various
case studies and real-life examples were presented to illustrate the
application of experiential learning in different contexts, including academic
settings, and personal development.
On day
two, Interactive workshop sessions were conducted for the staff to allow
participants to engage in experiential learning activities themselves. These
sessions encouraged active participation and reflection, reinforcing the
principles discussed during the session.
The
seminar highlighted the benefits of incorporating experiential learning into
staff development programs, such as increased engagement, improved
problem-solving abilities, and enhanced collaboration among team members.
Strategies for integrating experiential learning into the organizational
culture were discussed, including the use of simulation exercises, and peer
learning initiatives.
The two
day workshop concluded with a brief meditation session and a self analysis on
the gains. Acting as a feedback to
refine future staff development initiatives within the organization.
The
workshop provided valuable insights into a dynamic and effective approach to
professional development. By emphasizing hands-on experiences and active
participation, staff members can enhance their skills, knowledge, and overall
performance, contributing to the success of the organization.
